€1 billion ‘Dracula Land’ theme park to open in Romania
Have you ever seen the news about plans for Dracula Land, a giant structure in Bucharest, Romania?
The Dracula Land with more as 40 attractions, six lands and drone shows. The mystical object in Romania, Eastern Europe, can you believe it can be real? That’s looking a little bit weird, but who knows, maybe one day this can happen and it will be a magnet for tourism and recreation, even entertainment. It also have a well done website, where you can imagine what is waiting for you when you visit Romania.

Dracula Land, the first project of its kind in the world, is a €1 billion entertainment project that will open in Romania, so close to Bucharest. It’s set to open between 2026 and 2027, although an exact launch date has not yet been confirmed. The park is being designed as a year-round operation, rather than a seasonal attraction, with indoor and outdoor components intended to maintain steady foot traffic.

Dracula Land’s ambitions go beyond attractions. Plans include a 22,500-seat multi-purpose arena for concerts, festivals and e-sports events, as well as three themed hotels with around 1,200 rooms. The proposal also includes a water park, a thermal spa, a luxury boutique and even a motorsport track, reflecting a strategy to position the place as a multi-day, rather than a one-visit, park-based tourism destination.
There will also be a Transylvania section, Port of New Orleans and London Town. The crown jewel of the park will be Dracula’s Castle, with a roller coaster, maze, interactive exhibit and artificial lake, as well as a high-speed ride through the catacombs.
According to current estimates, Dracula Land will generate more than 5,000 jobs in tourism, technology, and services. In the first phase, it is expected to attract about three million visitors annually. Created by Chris Lange, former creative director at Europa-Park, the project marks one of the most significant theme park developments currently underway in Europe.

Dragoș Dobrescu, founder of Dracula Land, said: “Dracula Land brings together everything I’ve learned in real estate: discipline, rigor, vision, and the ability to keep complex teams with very different specializations together. But more importantly, it adds a story that gives meaning to every square meter built. For me, Dracula Land is a national project – a symbol that Romania can and must build landmarks, not just buildings or simple real estate projects.”
Dracula Land will transform one of Romania’s most famous symbols into a modern legend. Vlad Marinescu, president of the International Esports Federation, said: ‘Dracula Land finally transforms this global recognition into a structured, high-quality attraction that will showcase Romania’s heritage with dignity and creativity.”
“We are not just talking about a theme park, but about a cultural asset that will strengthen Romania’s place on the world tourism map and function as a long-term economic engine.”
That’s all well and good and it would be interesting to visit, but drawing pictures or creating videos with the help of AI is absolute nonsense. It needs to take a serious steps to make it a reality. Maybe not in this century.
