Samsung to bring ‘Google Photos’ to its AI TVs in 2026
Samsung also said it plans to add support for AI-powered features like "Nano Banana" templates and others.
For years, “Google Photos” users have had to either stream photos to their Android TVs or download an app from an external source to enjoy their photos or videos on the big screen. A version of the app for Samsung TVs is finally coming: The Korean tech giant said that it plans to bring this feature to all its AI TVs in 2026.

The company says that users will be able to browse their Google Photos libraries in three new features. The first is called “Memories,” and it will show curated stories based on “people, places, and meaningful moments.” The feature is scheduled to launch in March 2026 and will be available exclusively on Samsung TVs for six months.
Create with AI will leverage Google DeepMind’s image generation and editing model, allowing users to transform their photos with AI using themed templates. The tool will also allow users to turn any still image into a short video. Create with AI is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026.
Finally, Personalized Results will create themed slideshows of users’ photos based on particular topics or the content of an image. Examples given by Samsung include the ocean, hiking, and Paris. This also has a planned launch in the latter part of 2026.
“Google Photos is a home for people’s photos and videos, helping them organize and bring their memories to life. We’re excited to bring Google Photos to Samsung TVs – helping people enjoy their favorite photos on a larger screen and reconnect with their memories in new ways,” said Shimrit Ben-Yair, vice president, Google Photos and Google One, in a statement.
