BLACKPINK’s Rosé takes No. 1 spot on ‘100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2025’
Korean idols, Chinese actors, and Southeast Asian entertainers appeared throughout the rankings, reflecting the expanding global reach of Asian pop culture.
On December 29, TC Candler released its annual ranking, a list that has garnered global attention over the years for showcasing the visual choices of celebrities from around the world. This year (2025), BLACKPINK’s Rosé took the top spot on the “100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2025” (women’s category) list, beating out a host of international stars and other K-pop idols.

Rosé’s top spot on the women’s list further solidifies K-pop’s position. Sydney Sweeney comes in second, and Pharita comes in third. Other K-pop stars Karina, Jisoo, Tzuyu, and Lisa were prominent throughout the rankings. Their combined positions underscore the genre’s continued influence on the global beauty debate.
Following the announcement, fans around the world flooded social media with congratulatory messages, praising Rosé’s exquisite elegance, delicate features, and unique aura. However, the reaction from some Korean netizens was particularly negative.
The ranking quickly became a hot topic in online communities, with many questioning TC Candler’s credibility and selection criteria. Some claimed that the list did not accurately reflect Korean beauty standards, while others argued that the ranking often prioritized global popularity over visuals.
In the men’s category, Zhang Zhehan took Nr.1 place, a remarkable result considering his enduring international fan base. “Euphoria” star Jacob Elordi came in second, and Singaporean actor Ayden Sng came in third. BTS member V came in seventh, maintaining his long-standing position at the top after taking first place in 2017.
