Phone scammers are getting more and more sophisticated, but tech giants are preparing a response. Samsung users will soon have a powerful ally – artificial intelligence, which will act as a personal bodyguard during every call. If a conversation seems suspicious, your phone will alert you faster than you can dictate your bank codes.

Until now, the most advanced protection against phone scams was only available to Google Pixel owners. However, recent data shows that this exclusive feature is also coming to the most popular Android flagships – the Samsung Galaxy S26 series.
This is a big step forward that could protect thousands of people from losing money, especially given the increasingly sophisticated social engineering attacks.
How does the “silent guard” work?
The new system relies on local artificial intelligence (AI) processing. This means that the phone analyzes the content of the conversation in real time and looks for typical fraud patterns (for example, creating urgency, requests to transfer money, impersonating bank employees).
When the AI detects a threat, the user immediately receives a warning – a beep and vibration indicating that the interlocutor is most likely a scammer.
Important for privacy: Since all calculations are done on-device, none of your chat data is sent to the cloud or Samsung servers. Your private chats stay on your phone.
Changes in the Galaxy S26 series
A code analysis confirms that this feature will be integrated into the upcoming Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra models. However, there is one nuance that may not please everyone.
Samsung phones typically use its own dialer app. To enable Google’s anti-phishing protection, users will likely have to set the Google Phone app as their default. It’s unclear whether Samsung will integrate the technology into its own software or simply make it easier to switch to Google’s solution.
Another new feature: protection from prying eyes
In addition to software protection, there is also talk of a technical innovation. The Galaxy S26 series is said to have a built-in “privacy screen”.
This would act as an electronic filter: at the touch of a button, the viewing angle of the screen would be drastically reduced. This means that the person sitting next to you on the bus or in a café would only see a dark screen, while you would be able to read your messages safely.
Will older models get this feature?
Although the first to receive this feature will be the owners of the S26 series, the question remains open about older models (S25, S24). Complex real-time conversation analysis requires powerful processors with AI accelerators (e.g., Gemini Nano support). Therefore, it is likely that this feature will be available only to the latest and most powerful devices.
