‘Xbox’ plans revealed: what’s new coming in 2026
The coming year should bring joy to Xbox fans.
The Verge has detailed Microsoft’s plans for Xbox in 2026. According to their information, the company plans to release four new games from its core franchises: “Forza”, “Halo”, “Fable”, and “Gears of War”.

Bethesda is also developing new content for “Starfield” (likely a new storyline expansion). “Blizzard”, part of Microsoft, will make several announcements for World of “Warcraft”, “Overwatch” (which will feature a dozen new heroes and new maps), “Hearthstone”, and “Diablo”.
The most interesting rumor is related to “Fallout”: according to The Verge, Bethesda is actively developing a “Fallout 3” remaster and is aiming for the same level of quality it achieved with the release of “TES: Oblivion Remastered”.
Hardware Rumors: The Verge says Microsoft will release updated Xbox controllers with Wi-Fi support and low latency to seamlessly integrate with “Xbox Cloud Gaming”. A third-generation “Xbox Elite” controller will also be released, but there’s no word yet on what the changes will be.
