Valentine’s Day is coming up, and if you’re feeling a little down about not having a date planned, artist Philippa Found is showing you that you’re not alone in your exhaustive romantic pursuits. From February 9th, the feminist artist will be using billboards from “Camden Town” to “Clapham” to magnify anonymous confessions on a monumental, undeniable scale, commenting on the rarity of perfect love.

The public installation coincides with the release of the paperback book “It’s Complicated” – a collection of 250 anonymous confessions about affairs and breakups, falling in love and commitment, friendship and lust. Together, the book and billboards mark a significant new moment in a project six years in the making.
Admittedly, Jenny Holzer’s style of clothing defies Valentine’s Day traditions, where flowers and chocolate seem obligatory rather than earned, and kitschy cards can mask the chaotic nature of true love.
Look for the exhibition at various locations in London from February 9th to 22nd. Or on this website.
