Apple reveals how many devices have been updated to ‘iOS 26’
The pace of implementation is slower than in previous years, but not catastrophically so.
Apple has finally revealed how many of the company’s mobile devices have been updated to the latest versions of iOS with “Liquid Glass”.

The statistics are as follows:
- 74% of all iPhones released in the last four years run iOS 26.
- 66% of all iPhones run iOS 26.
- 66% of all iPads released in the last four years run iPadOS 26.
- 57% of all iPads run iPadOS 26.
These numbers are only a few percentage points lower than the iOS 18 numbers that Apple announced a year ago, and in the case of iPads, the percentage of those who installed the update even increased.
Apple has been a bit of a cheater here, though: with iOS 18, the company shared its statistics about four months after the system was released. This time, the company waited another three weeks to share the numbers, which indirectly indicates a slower pace of user updates. This was confirmed by Statcounter, which reported an unprecedented low popularity of iOS 26.
