The Google Pixel 10a and other models will be unveiled on February 18th, but everything is already known down to the smallest details, both the design and specifications of this sophisticated smartphone. The prices are also printed in this article.

The design is familiar, but the screen is a step forward
The new model, judging by the leaked information, maintains a clear kinship with the previous Pixel 9a. However, one major update is immediately noticeable. The device is expected to feature a 6.3-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 2424×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This means smoother visuals, a more premium feel, and fewer compromises for everyday use.
More importantly, protection. Instead of the outdated Gorilla Glass 3, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i is now mentioned. In practice, this signals greater resistance to scratches and drops – an old weakness of the A-series may finally be solved. The fingerprint scanner, as expected, is integrated into the screen. Above is a hole with a 13 MP front camera.
Camera: no revolution, but with a proven formula
Google continues to stick to its strategy: not quantity, but programmatic magic.
There should be a dual camera on the back:
- 48 MP main sensor.
- 13 MP ultra-wide-angle module.
It’s almost identical to its predecessor. In other words, stability over experimentation. Given Google’s HDR and computational photography algorithms, the results are likely to remain among the best in the mid-range.
Tensor G4 is back: a logical solution, but not everyone will like it
The biggest intrigue is the processor. The Pixel 10a will reportedly use Google’s Tensor G4, the same chip that debuted last year, along with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Strategically, it’s a clear move: lower production costs, a more mature platform, more stable performance. But to tech enthusiasts, it may seem like a “recycled flagship leftover.”
The battery is the same, but charging is on a completely different level
The 5100 mAh battery, according to the leak, remains unchanged. But charging is another story. The model should support up to 45 W fast charging. In comparison, the Pixel 9a only offered 23 W. This is almost a double jump, which in real life could mean significantly less time at the outlet.
Wireless charging remains a question mark for now.
Lighter body and IP68 – a serious signal to competitors
- Leaked dimensions: 153.9 × 73 × 9 mm.
- Weight: 183 g – three grams less than its predecessor.
But the most important detail is IP68 dust and water resistance. This is still a rare bonus in the mid-range class, and it makes the Pixel 10a look much more solid than some of its competitors.
Software part: longevity card
The device should boot with Android 16. An even stronger argument is seven years of security updates. This is no longer a marketing gimmick, but a serious long-term value factor, especially in a market where many phones become programmatically “obsolete” after 3-4 years.
Price: this is where the real controversy begins
Leaked pricing:
- 8GB RAM / 128GB – $590.
- 8GB RAM / 256GB – $710.
Converted to euros and with taxes added, this could mean a price in Europe dangerously close to flagship territory.
And this is where the risk lies.
Google is clearly raising the status of the A-series. Less “budget Pixel,” more “cheaper than a flagship, but not cheap.” If the performance and camera live up to expectations, the model could become a hit. If not, the price will become the main target of criticism.
