Bloomberg: Apple will change iOS 27 code to improve battery life
The company will focus on artificial intelligence integration and system optimization rather than large-scale interface changes.
As Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reports, Apple has set two main priorities for its fall software update: introducing artificial intelligence with an updated, chatbot-style Siri, and fixing the problematic operating system.

Work on iOS 27 (codenamed “Rave”) involves removing remnants of old code, rewriting features, and selectively updating apps. Engineers hope that these efficiency improvements will ultimately improve battery life.
The process is similar to upgrading to Snow Leopard: the system will become faster. Optimization is also necessary to prepare the software for future devices, such as the MacBook Pro with a touch screen and the foldable iPhone.
