Microsoft has revealed what’s coming to ‘Windows 11’ in the near future
Lots of artificial intelligence, despite user criticism.
Microsoft has released a video showing what artificial intelligence-related features will be coming to Windows 11 in the coming weeks.

The system will feature a new interface called Ask Copilot, which can be used in place of the standard search function. It will connect to Microsoft 365 services and perform not only search functions, but also call on artificial intelligence agents to perform tasks.

One of the agents, called the investigator, will be able to run long investigation tasks lasting more than 10 minutes in the background and will display a progress indicator in the taskbar.
Microsoft is also adding a Copilot button to File Explorer, which will provide summaries and context for synced documents without opening a separate app.

This interface will allow users to ask questions about the content of documents, for example, when preparing a financial statement summary.
Windows Latest also reported that Notepad will soon add support for inserting images. The company previously added Markdown and link insertion support to the app.
Microsoft says these changes will be widely available to users in the next few weeks.
