Xiaomi has introduced its own tracking device, the Xiaomi Tag. The device works on the same principle as its competitors: it sends Bluetooth signals to nearby devices, which then transmit its coordinates to the cloud so that the owner can find the lost item.

Both Apple’s “Find My” and Android’s “Find Hub” networks are supported. Xiaomi has also implemented protection against tracking by others: the tracker will notify you if it is near another device. Apple users can also receive notifications about left-behind items if they forget something with the Xiaomi Tag attached.
Specifications include IP67 protection, Bluetooth 5.4, and a standard CR2032 watch battery that lasts about a year. The Tag weighs just 10 grams.
The Xiaomi Tag is currently on sale in Malaysia for RM59 (around 13 Euros). A set of four is also available.
