Bloomberg: Samsung has no plans to produce Edge and TriFold models
A top Samsung executive spoke about the company's plans.
Bloomberg interviewed Samsung’s head of product development, Won-Joon Choi, to discuss the company’s plans for experimental devices, the Galaxy Edge and Trifold.

Regarding the disastrous Galaxy S25 Edge, he said that the continuation of the line is not guaranteed, as sales of the model were lower than those of the company’s other high-end devices. The development of a new model is still “under consideration.”
Talking about the TriFold’s unusual “triple folding,” Choi explained that the company has not yet decided whether to develop a sequel to the device – from an engineering point of view, this development has proven to be extremely difficult.
However, he hinted that the company could release a wider foldable smartphone – likely referring to the so-called “Wide Fold,” which is rumored to be released as a competitor to the foldable iPhone.
Finally, the CEO revealed that the Privacy Display feature was supposed to appear on the S25 Ultra, but the three-year development was delayed due to technical difficulties. It may appear on lower-end models in the future.
