The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are the long-awaited new smartphones that are said to come in black and have potentially long battery life, but that’s just speculation, and we don’t have any potential release date information.

We don’t know many of the specs, including price, hardware, and colors, but we have received a lot of interesting leaks. One leak, reported by Mac Rumors, from a leaker known as Majin Bu, claims that the iPhone 17 Air could come in the new MacBook Air’s sky blue color.
The newest piece of iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air rumors comes not from a leak, but from some well-calculated math. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman wrote in the newsletter Power On that we might get the new iPhone specs — and the opportunity to buy them – the week of September 8.
Gurman noted that Apple tends to launch its new iPhones the week after Labor Day. This year, that falls on September 1, so we’ll probably see the launch the week of September 8.
Apple never schedules events on Fridays, Gurman says, and will likely avoid an event on September 11. That leaves three days for the iPhone event: Monday, September 8; Tuesday, September 9; or Wednesday, September 10.
“It could be that Monday (the 8th), though I suspect the 9th or 10th is probably more likely,” Gurman wrote, according to PC Mag.
So if you’re looking for all the new iPhone info, you might want to set a time on your calendar for the second week of September.
