Meta’s display-equipped smart glasses may launch next month – Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. Meta is looking to expand its smart glasses line this year by not only adding a sportier model, but also a high-end model with a built-in display.

As rumored, these are expected to be a high-end version of the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses with a small display at the bottom of the right lens. The screen will be visible only to the wearer and can be controlled using a wrist accessory called “Ceres”.

The device will also use a “Qualcomm” chip and a customized version of Android. On the home screen, users will see horizontally arranged apps, separate for the camera, gallery, and artificial intelligence. The device will also have capacitive touch controls on both sides of the glasses for smoother navigation. – reported by PC Mag, contributor Jibin Joseph.

Meta is also working on Project “Orion”. The smart glasses, unveiled at last year’s “Meta Connect” conference, combine the benefits of the “Quest 3 VR” headset into a lighter, more stylish design. CEO Mark Zuckerberg called the wearables the future of computing and “the most advanced glasses the world has ever seen.”
