Until now, it was unclear what usage restrictions apply to the Gemini app at different levels. Fortunately, Google has finally updated its Help Center article, detailing “Gemini Apps limits and upgrades for Google AI subscribers.”
No more useless descriptive words like “limited access” or vague statements like “sometimes we may need to limit the number of prompts and conversations, or how much you can use some features over a period of time.”
Instead, it’s clearly stated that with Gemini 2.5 Pro you get up to five prompts per day on a free account, 100 with the “AI Pro” plan, or 500 with “AI Ultra”.
Free accounts are also limited to five “Deep Research” reports and 100 generated images per day. If you need to create more than 100 AI-generated images per day, you’ll need to upgrade to “Pro” or “Ultra”, which will give you 1,000 images. You can see the full breakdown here.
