Apple tests ‘iPhone 17 Pro’ in first cinematic ad
The campaign will run across Apple's digital platforms, social media, movie theaters, and streaming channels.
With the iPhone 17 models now launching in Australia and New Zealand, Apple has shared a new first-ever cinematic iPhone 17 Pro commercial on its Australian YouTube channel.

The ad features sleet, gravel, and rain instead of shiny studio backdrops, as the director wades through mud and snow, relying on the device to film. The video, based on the Connie Francis film “Come Rain or Come Shine”, shows how this iPhone is designed to handle life when things get messy.
The iPhone 17 Pro features a triple-lens camera system with three 48-megapixel lenses. The new telephoto lens has 4x and 8x optical zoom options. Apple has added new features aimed at professional filmmakers, and in the video description, Apple says that the iPhone 17 Pro has the “most cinematic camera” Apple has ever made.
The commercial, directed by Seb Edwards and produced by Park Pictures, marks one of the first localized campaigns for the iPhone 17 series.
