‘Sesame Street’ for children’s digital well-being
Google.org, in partnership with Sesame Workshop, has decided to create new online safety resources for children.
Sesame Street wants to teach your kids how to have a healthy relationship with technology. It’s hard for parents to navigate the digital world, and it’s even harder for kids.
Sesame Street and Google have partnered to create a range of resources to help teach kids about digital wellbeing. And if they take the time to watch Sesame Street on YouTube, so be it.
Indeed, with the internet now playing such a critical role in everyday life, it’s important that children are being told how to assess and access key information, while also keeping safe, and avoiding harmful exposure.
This is an important area of focus, and the use of characters that kids are already familiar with will help to enhance these lessons, and improve knowledge sharing.
