The 100th issue of ‘Riso Club’ features world-renowned designers
Having presented the works of over 400 artists, Risotto has reached an impressive milestone: its 100th issue.
Since 2017, Glasgow-based independent print studio Risotto has been promoting the art of risography by frequently publishing work from artists around the world. Each month, the Risotto team selects four risography artworks that are sent to collectors and art students in over 40 countries.

On this important occasion, studio founder Gabriella Marcella launched “Riso Club 100: Risottopia,” a special edition that brings together three world-renowned designers who have had a significant influence on her personal practice.

This important issue features Nathalie Du Pasquier, founder of the Italian design and architecture collective Memphis Group; Peter Shire, another member of the Memphis Group known for his bold ceramic and furniture designs; and Barbara Stauffacher Solomon, the late designer famous for her groundbreaking Supergraphics work.
Presented alongside Marcella’s own work, the studio’s founder says this special issue is “a fantasy place where the artists who’ve shaped my practice meet through colour and print”. She continues: “They’ve transformed how I think about design, and I wanted our 100th issue to celebrate that.”

Reflecting on the history of the project, which stands out for its commitment to analogue techniques in a digital-first world, Marcella says “[Riso Club] is labour-intensive, but a big act of love – a physical reminder that design can still travel slowly, beautifully, and surprise.”
Carefully selected works by all four artists will be sent to Risotto Club members, while non-members will also be able to purchase the collection for themselves on the Risotto website. This unique publication will be followed by more celebrations next year – a studio retrospective, a new digital atlas showcasing the global scope of the project, and a print archive.
