Porsche unveils a collector’s edition ‘Labubu’ car
Labubu is the most famous character in the "Monsters" series, inspiring fans and collectors around the world.
Porsche’s latest artistic car features long ears, sharp teeth and a surprisingly high level of whimsy. The brand has teamed up with Kasing Lungu, illustrator of the iconic character Labubu, to update its 60th-anniversary “911 Targa” with a collectible toy that slides out of its display case and takes the keys for itself.

The project was unveiled at the Porsche Festival “Icons of Porsche” in Dubai, where Lung’s mischievous creation was placed behind the wheel of a 992-generation “Targa”. Porsche says the collaboration marks two anniversaries: six decades of the 911 Targa and 10 years of Lung’s Monsters universe.
The “Labubu Targa” features an exterior finish specifically designed for the Dubai environment, transforming the sports car into a rolling installation that immediately stood out from the historic models on display at the event on November 22-23, 2025.
Kasing Lung’s characters have garnered a loyal fan base thanks to the toys being released without pre-registration through Pop Mart, and Labubu remains the main attraction of the series. Enthusiasts have purchased hundreds of variations over the years, transforming the creature from a niche art figure into a global collector’s item.
Porsche’s invitation to invite Labubu into the driving seat shows how the character’s cultural stature has grown, especially as more collectors come to view art toys as lifestyle objects and fashion icons rather than simple figurines.

“Having one of my characters in a car for the first time and reimagining the iconic Porsche Targa was truly inspiring,” – explained Lung.
Deniz Keskin, director of brand management and partnerships at Porsche AG, adds – “Kasing Lung understands how to combine emotion and form in a unique way – a quality that also distinguishes our brand. The cooperation underlines how closely topics such as creativity, cultural relevance and emotional appeal are linked to the Porsche brand today.”
