A cute video ‘Zodiac smiles for kids’ goes viral
A colorful animated video clip about the zodiac signs is going viral on social media.
Animator Ričardas Liaugminas, the creator, modestly calls this project a “game” and “fun” between serious work, but the short film “Zodiac smiles for kids” has already attracted considerable interest.

According to Liaugminas, the idea to create something fun and childish about astrology came about after noticing a lack of quality content on the topic.
“Everyone talks a lot about astrology, but there’s not much for children. I tried to find something online, but everything didn’t seem very ‘tasty’. I thought – after all, it could be done much better,” – said the animator.
Before the release of the film “Zodiac Smiles for Kids”, Liaugminas also published a children’s book about astrology in English last year, which can be purchased on the Amazon platform. The characters from the book also made their way into the English animated film.
One of the most interesting aspects of this project is the use of technology. According to Liaugminas, artificial intelligence (AI) was used to create both the visuals and the music. However, the animator emphasizes that AI is just a tool, and the main vision always belongs to a person.
Liaugminas has been working with technology since 1991, but admitted that working with Artificial Intelligence and animation was not easy. When asked about the music, which perfectly complements the image, the creator joked that he “asked his neighbor to sing it,” but soon clarified that even here, modern technology is indispensable.
Although “Zodiac smiles for kids” received attention online, Ričardas Liaugminas said that it was a fun diversion from a much larger and more serious work.
Currently, the first full-length animated film “The Journey of Dominy the Horse to the Stars” is being completed at the Klaipėda studio, based on the fairy tale by writer Vytautas V. Landsbergis. He is working on the big project together with his former student, and now colleague and manager, Mantas Pronskumis.
The film “The Journey of Dominy the Horse to the Stars” is scheduled to hit theaters in January next year, and an active publicity campaign will begin in December.
