Latest ‘Windows 11’ update improves and breaks
Microsoft is now working on a fix for the brief white screen flicker when opening "File Explorer".
Microsoft released an update to Windows 11 yesterday that should make dark mode more consistent, and “File Explorer” dialogs will finally get dark mode for actions like copying, moving, or deleting files and folders.

“After installing KB5070311, you may experience issues opening File Explorer in dark mode,” Microsoft acknowledges in the known issues section of its new Windows 11 update. “You may briefly see a blank white screen in the window before files and folders load.”
The white flash is like a flash burst if you’re working in the dark with dark mode enabled, and Microsoft says it’s now working on a fix for this issue.

It’s surprising that Microsoft didn’t catch this glaring bug during testing, especially since the company has pledged to deliver a “more consistent dark mode experience” across Windows 11.
The Windows 11 Run dialog will also get a dark mode soon, along with improvements to progress bars and chart views, and confirmation and error dialogs.
