‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ trailer has arrived
Opens the door to Enid Blyton's dream world.
Magic has a way of finding new roots, and now it’s crawling straight to the big screen. The first trailer for “The Magic Faraway Tree” has arrived, offering a new look at Simon Farnaby’s long-gestating adaptation of Enid Blyton’s cherished children’s stories.

The film follows Polly and Tim, played by Claire Foy and Andrew Garfield, as they move their three children from city life to the English countryside. What begins as an adjustment to the quiet of the countryside quickly turns into something strange when the children accidentally discover the Faraway Tree, a massive gateway to an ever-changing magical land.

New kingdoms emerge and unfold at the top of the tree, transforming the forest into a living portal rather than a static fairy tale setting.
The trailer introduces several of the tree’s inhabitants, including Moonface, voiced by Nonso Anozie, and the fairy Silky, played by Nicola Coughlan. Other eccentric figures, from Dame Washalot to the Saucepan Man, make brief appearances, hinting at the quirky humor that defined Blyton’s original characters.
While the fantasy elements are woven with visual charm, the trailer also highlights the emotional underpinnings of the story, embodying magic as something that helps the family bond as they navigate unfamiliar territory.
“The Magic Faraway Tree” is set to premiere in the UK and Ireland on March 27, 2026, and a day earlier in Australia and New Zealand. A US release date has not yet been confirmed.
