Alexa+ now available according to your mood: brief, chill or sweet
You may notice a difference in how the assistant confirms a routine check.
Amazon is giving Alexa+ a significant personality makeover, introducing three different AI-powered communication styles designed to make your voice assistant feel much more natural. These new modes – Brief, Chill, and Sweet – allow the assistant to adapt its tone and emotional delivery to better suit your specific mood or task at hand, without changing the actual tasks it can perform.

The update focuses on five specific aspects of conversation to create these unique experiences. Amazon is essentially fine-tuning the levels of expressiveness, emotional openness, formality, directness, and humor to create a more nuanced persona.
For example, the Brief mode is designed for efficiency and strips away any filler for those who just want the facts. Chill offers a relaxed, almost “Zen” vibe for a more relaxed home environment, while Sweet has a warm and enthusiastic tone that translates into encouragement.
You can see the difference in how the Assistant confirms a routine check. While the standard response may be functional, the short mode is limited to a few words, the calm mode might describe the situation as “harmonious,” and the gentle mode delivers the news with a burst of positivity.
For Prime members in the US, accessing these styles is easy and free of charge. You can simply ask Alexa to change your personality style, or go to your device settings in the app to switch between them. You can even pair these new personalities with any of the eight available Alexa voices to further personalize your experience.
