Ampfy created the leading potato chip brand ad campaign
A fascinating idea that attracts many curious people.
“Have you ever noticed that pepper seeds look like potato chips?” By asking such spontaneous questions, RUFFLES®, the leading potato chip brand in Brazil, turned such a common phenomenon in consumers’ daily lives into a concept to strengthen its position.

The RUFFLES® campaign, created on social media, tracks public interactions in real time, and based on the commentary of opinion leader Larissa Gloor, the brand created a fun and playful way to transfer random thoughts to the streets of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
The campaign, created and developed by Ampfy, has already established a genuine connection and humorous identification with the public in recent months, and recently played with the boundaries of reality to enhance the presentation of the RUFFLES® Mexican Pepper flavor.
The brand invested in craftsmanship and hired an artisan to literally get their hands dirty: large clay peppers and potato chips were made using a 3D printer that mimics pepper seeds. The visual effect is real: in the surreal images, they even seem to be artificial intelligence, but they are real objects that were used in a photo shoot with artisan Hugo Miguel and photographer Nano Cunha, and the campaign, born on social media, was transferred to media spaces scattered throughout the cities.
To promote the initiative, advertisements are being run on outdoor billboards in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as well as in magazines. The entire campaign has also generated interesting content for social media, showing that sometimes a random thought can turn into a brand campaign.
