Apple has turned its Finder Icon into a cute mascot, ‘Lil Finder Guy’
Apple has tuned its Finder window icon into a new little character.
All I know about “Lil’ Finder Guy” is that he’s damn adorable, assuming I don’t mind him. And instead of doing anything productive, literally, or taking care of my adult responsibilities like paying bills, paying taxes, or working, I spent the weekend falling down a rabbit hole trying to create a life for this mysterious little creature, even though I know next to nothing about him.
The cute creature first appeared in TikTok commercials and a livestream for the new MacBook Neo, and soon went viral online, prompting calls for Apple to release an official product.
I started to create a model of what “Lil’ Finder Guy” might look like working, angry, running, jumping, laughing, and more. Of course, for now, all of this is just abstraction upon abstraction. I don’t know if Little Finder can laugh, what he finds funny, or if his short, ungainly legs can even jump.
