Apple has released iOS 26.3 for iPhone. It is a major update that brings several new features and enhancements for iOS users. The update introduces a new iPhone-to-Android transfer tool that will make it easier for users to switch from iPhone to Android. Now users can pair their iPhone and Android device and wirelessly transfer photos, videos, messages, notes, apps, and more to their Android device.
For EU users, iOS 26.3 adds a new notification forwarding feature that allows users to forward their device’s notifications to third-party accessories such as headphones and smartwatches.
Note that notification forwarding only works with one paired device at a time. If you choose to forward notifications to a third-party device, your primary device will stop showing alerts until you cancel this setting.
This iOS 26.3 update also includes new weather wallpapers and a new precise location restriction setting that increases user privacy by reducing the amount of location data available to mobile networks.
Devices with the new Apple C1 and C1X modems have added a feature that limits precise location determination using cellular data.
iOS 26.3 gives you more control over how carriers access your location. You can block access to your precise location and limit it to your residential area.
While this feature is part of iOS 26.3, it will only be available on select iPhones. It is only available on iPhones and iPads that use an Apple modem, including the iPhone 16e, M5 iPad Pro, and iPhone Air. It also only works with select networks around the world, including Boost Mobile in the US, EE and BT in the UK, and AIS and True in Thailand.
iOS 26.3 fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities, including one bug that was known to be actively exploited.
The next version of iOS 26.4 will include the first updated Siri based on the Gemini engine. The first beta is expected to be released in the last week of February.
How to update
You can download and install this update over the air. Just go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and install the new release. iOS 26.3 is available on all iPhones that support iOS 26, which includes the iPhone 11 and later.
