Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported that a full-fledged Siri app will be available in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. It will allow users to communicate with the assistant using both voice and text, as well as view conversation history – similar to the interfaces of ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.

The key new feature will be the “Extensions” feature. This will allow third-party chatbots and AI agents from apps installed on the device to be integrated into Siri. A dedicated section in the App Store will be created for searching and downloading these, serving as a marketplace for AI integrations.
The first developer beta of iOS 27 is scheduled for June, with a public release in September. Siri is expected to receive a redesigned interface featuring Dynamic Island, as well as new system buttons for Ask Siri and Write with Siri. It’s unclear whether these new features will be available on all iOS 27 devices or whether they will require Apple Intelligence support (iPhone 15 Pro and later).
