Chinese companies will no longer produce ‘Ultra’ smartphones?
The component crisis is leading to even greater price increases.
Well-known source Ice Universe reported that several Chinese brands are considering abandoning the production of high-end “Ultra” smartphones.

According to him, Ultra smartphones are uncompromising, camera-centric devices that are quite expensive for manufacturers. The shortage of memory and other components significantly increases the development costs, and manufacturers cannot save on individual components due to the status of ultra-smartphones.
Another option is to raise prices, but according to the source, at 10,000 yuan, Chinese smartphones are on par with Samsung’s flagships. Even Samsung can’t compete with Apple’s sales, so for Chinese manufacturers, such prices mean a significant drop in sales and high development costs.
The source concluded that it is impossible to create super smartphones in the current conditions, so manufacturers are halting the development of such models, preferring more balanced and mass-market models without expensive camera modules.
