Disney+ unveils Mickey and Bluey in a brand new short
Mickey Mouse and Bluey make their first screen appearance in a new short film released on Disney+ and Disney Jr. episode.
Disney has just delivered the perfect playground crossover that parents and kids alike have been waiting for. Mickey Mouse and the Heeler family finally make their way to the big screen in a new animated short film, streaming now on Disney+ and Disney Jr.
This collaboration brings together two of the biggest names in children’s television, blending the classic energy of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with gentle, imaginative humor that defines Bluey.

The story begins with Mickey approaching Toodles, but he instead sees a spinning blue portal. After passing through it, he finds himself in the middle of the legendary Bluey opening credits sequence. From there, things quickly pick up as the rest of the Fantastic Six join in. Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy appear, all of whom receive Bluey-style character introductions before embarking on a high-stakes game of musical statues.
The crossover also marks a significant moment for both franchises. The Australian animated series Bluey has grown into a streaming giant that can rival even long-standing Disney characters, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse continues to hold its own with younger audiences after its recent revival as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+. Combining the two shows could further integrate the Heeler family into a broader entertainment slate.
The timing is also perfect for fans heading to the parks. The short film is released in conjunction with “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!”, a new live-action show in the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland Resort. The show allows kids to interact with Bluey and Bingo through music and games, extending the experience beyond the screen. With both the short film and the park addition, Bluey and Mickey become a true duo for preschoolers.
