Every year, the host country of Eurovision creates a mascot alongside its brand, resulting in a variety of charming, questionable, and even awful creations. This year’s mascot is no different and is already receiving mixed reviews from Europop fans.

Although I initially felt a nagging revulsion towards these mascots, over the years I have come to love their silly character designs and now look forward to whatever monster is waiting for me. Without wasting any time, let’s meet Auri, the mascot of Vienna 2026.
In the chaotic fashion of Eurovision, there are no strict rules for mascot creation, so designs are often unpredictable. In previous years, most host countries have opted for an illustrated design, but this year, Austria opted for a full-body human costume – equally charming and extremely funny.
Auri, who plays off the blue and pink Eurovision colors. From her strange, vuvuzela-like nose to her golden locks of hair, Auri has a charm that is definitely a big improvement over last year’s hellspawn mascot, Lumo.
