‘Galaxy Z Flip 8’ leak sounds almost too good to be true
The device may get a thinner body and a display without a fold.
Samsung is preparing an update to its foldable smartphone, the “Galaxy Z Flip 8,” with a new hinge and a modified display. According to preliminary data, the device will be slightly wider and lighter – about 180 g, compared to 188 g in the previous model, reports SamMobile.

It is expected to use an updated hinge design that will reduce or eliminate the wrinkles on the flexible OLED display. Similar changes may appear in other foldable Samsung models this year.
The main camera specifications will remain unchanged. The smartphone may receive 50 MP and 12 MP modules, as well as a 10 MP front camera. A triple camera is not expected.
According to previous reports, the smartphone will feature an Exynos 2600 processor, 12GB of RAM, and either 256 or 512GB of storage. The smartphone may run on Android 17 with One UI 9 on top.
The battery capacity will likely remain at 4300 mAh with support for 25 W charging. Samsung may maintain a long-term software update policy – up to seven years.
The company is also considering increasing the price of the next generation, but for now, this only applies to the South Korean market. There is no information on global pricing.
Recall that this year, Samsung plans to release not two, but three foldable devices. In addition to the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Fold 8, there will also be a Fold 8 Wide. It should compete with the upcoming iPhone Ultra, which will also be “wide format”. The Chinese company Huawei also has its own offer in this niche.
