Garmin launches Forerunner ’70’ and ‘170’ watches
Despite the low price, the new Forerunner offers several features found on more premium models.
Garmin has introduced three new top-level smartwatch models: the Forerunner 70, 170, and 170 Music. While the new models start at $250, they offer access to a number of features found in the more expensive premium models.

All three models feature 1.2-inch OLED displays and Garmin’s signature five-button configuration. The watches feature built-in GPS, health monitoring features, and access to over 80 sports apps.

- Forerunner 70 – Essential training features, including adaptive plans from Garmin Coach and workout recommendations that adjust based on your performance and recovery time.
- Forerunner 170 comes with access to the Garmin Pay contactless payment system, while the 170 Music lets you download music and podcasts from third-party services for listening through wireless headphones without a smartphone.

Claimed battery life: Up to 13 days for the Forerunner 70 and up to 10 days for the Forerunner 170.
