Google finally lets change your Gmail address without losing anything
Only in America for now.
Google has made it possible to change the username in your email address (Gmail) without losing any data. Your old username remains, but becomes an alternative address, where emails will continue to arrive as usual.
You can change your name once a year and no more than three times per account.
Users in the US can go to their Google Account settings (navigate to any Google website or app like Gmail, tap the profile photo in the top-right corner, then tap Manage your Google account), then tap Personal Info > Email > Google Account email > Change Google Account email, and follow the on-screen prompts.
This feature could be useful for those who created a fun email address years ago and are now forced to use it for work communications. Currently, this feature is only available to users in the US.
