‘Guerra&Co.’ interior design brand identity created by Mateus Araújo
Guerra&Co. interior design brand is inspired by organic letterforms, warm terracotta tones, and furniture-inspired icons by Studio Mateus Araújo.
Rio de Janeiro-based Studio Mateus Araújo completed this interior design branding project for luxury studio Guerra&Co. in 2025, targeting young clients looking for their first home. The brief called for sophistication without distance: a brand that sounded formal yet accessible. The studio solved this problem by carefully choosing typography and a palette that avoided the cool neutrals typical of luxury design.

The logo takes its form directly from contemporary furniture. The curves alternate between linear and organic strokes, giving the letters a structured character that reflects the objects found in the spaces created by Guerra&Co. The abbreviation “g&co.” neatly merges into a compact wordmark, giving the system a secondary mark that is suitable for smaller formats. Both versions remain attractive on backgrounds of rich burgundy and warm terracotta colors.

The color scheme is centered around two tones: a dark, rich burgundy and a mid-tone terracotta, which evoke earthy materials and warm interiors. Neither color veers into generic luxury territory. Together, they create a specific mood that sounds mature but not cold. Applied to blanks and surface mockups, the palette is consistently rendered at every scale.

The supporting icon set extends the typographic logic into simple, easy-to-read icons. The silhouette of each icon refers to the shape of the furniture: arched sills, curved legs, and round vessels. The icons do not illustrate the work literally. They act as a visual dictionary, reinforcing the brand idea without directly stating it. The whole system forms a coherent interior design brand identity aimed at a young, design-savvy audience.
