Integrated ‘Tetris’ game on the cover of magazine
Unfortunately, ordinary people will no longer be able to get it.
Red Bull, in collaboration with Tetris, has released the “Game Pop GP-1” playable magazine system, which features a built-in board that allows players to launch Tetris and play games directly on the magazine cover.

Engineer Kevin Bates was hired to develop the system, and he created a portable Arduboy console in a case the size of a business card.
The built-in Tetris game runs on an ARM chip on a flexible board. A single charge is enough for 1-2 hours of gameplay, after which the magazine can be recharged via USB-C.
The display is a panel of 180 RGB LEDs, and Kevin used capacitive sensors to control the bricks.
Only 150 copies of the “Games” magazines were printed, and they were distributed to participants in the Tetris tournament held in Dubai last year.
Red Bull also offers a regular magazine, Game Pop: The Culture of Play, which explores the history of games and how they shape today’s pop culture. The only difference is that it doesn’t have a built-in Tetris game – the game board itself serves as the cover of a similar magazine.
