Apple officially released iOS 26.4, which brings several new features to the iPhone. The main new features include changes to the company’s music service, as well as system improvements to apps and the keyboard.

Key new features in iOS 26.4 include:
- Apple Music update. A beta version of Playlist Playground for generating playlists based on text descriptions has been added, along with a Concerts section for finding upcoming artist performances. Offline Music Recognize is now available in Control Center for recognizing tracks without an internet connection, automatically displaying results when you connect.
- New emoji. Seven characters have been added, including a stoned face, a yeti, a killer whale, a trombone, a landslide, and a ballerina.
- New Freeform features. The app now features advanced image creation and editing tools, as well as integration with Apple’s Creator Studio library.
- Changes to Family Sharing: Adult family members can now use their own payment methods when making purchases, without relying on the family organizer’s card.
- Reminders improvements: Tasks can now be marked as urgent directly from the Quick Access panel and filtered in smart lists.
The iOS 26.5 beta is also expected to be released soon. In it, Apple is expected to introduce the first AI features for Siri and Apple Intelligence, powered by Google’s Gemini models.
Along with the release of iOS 26.4, the company also released updates to iPadOS 26.4, macOS 26.4, watchOS 26.4, and other versions of its operating systems.
