Labubu could earn $1B this year.

This week, Pop Mart, the maker of Labubu, released its financial results for the first half of 2025, giving the public more insight into just how crazy the world is about the plush monster toy.

Pop Mart’s Monsters line, which includes Labubu, generated about $670 million in revenue in the first half of the year, putting the company on track to earn more than $1 billion by the end of the year. That’s a 688% increase from last year, even outpacing sales of Mattel toys like Barbie and Hot Wheels.

Sold in a mystery “blind box” format, these toys – sold by Chinese company Pop Mart – blew up in popularity internationally when we known people and celebrities boldly showed their image with Labubu toys, which sometimes hang off their designer bags as keychains.

These 10 year old, mythology inspired characters have become as popular an accessory as the “Telfar” bag was in 2020, and they’re just as hard to get your hands on.

Expansion in emerging markets in the Middle East, Central Europe and Central and South America was being explored. Pop Mart executives are also optimistic about opportunities for the firm’s proprietary art toys, including Labubu toy, to star in animated films and theme park attractions.
