Leak: Microsoft is preparing a new ‘Game Pass’ subscription plan
The new subscription will include only games from Microsoft's internal studios.
After examining Microsoft’s public backend, user redphx reported that the company may introduce a new, low-cost subscription plan, codenamed “Triton,” that will include only games from Xbox Game Studios:
- DOOM Eternal
- Dishonored 2
- Fable Anniversary
- Fallout 4, Fallout 76
- Gears 5
- Halo 5, Halo Wars 2
- Hellblade (possibly both parts)
- Ori and the Blind Forest
- State of Decay 2
- The Elder Scrolls Online
- Psychonauts
The exact price of the plan is unknown, but given the small number of games included in the subscription, it could very well be free. Microsoft itself has made no announcements.
It was previously reported that new Xbox head Asha Sharma is considering ways to make Xbox and its services accessible to a wider range of consumers, which could include cheaper Game Pass subscription options.
