LEGO debuts ‘Harry Potter and Sorcerer’s Stone’ set for 25th anniversary
LEGO is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with a brand new set for adults.
Key Points:
- LEGO unveils a 1,571-piece 25th Anniversary Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone collector’s edition set.
- The set features iconic items like Hedwig, the Sorcerer’s Stone, a Chocolate Frog card, and a Wizard Chessboard.
- Includes Harry, Hermione, and Ron minifigures plus microscale scenes from the film’s magical adventures.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has been a hit for 25 years, and now it’s being brought to life in LEGO form, piece by piece. The set highlights well-known moments from the story and is aimed at fans who have already enjoyed the book or film. You can enjoy it even if you haven’t watched it or reread it recently.

This Lego set is built for adults who grew up at Hogwarts and still remember the first time Hedwig delivered a letter. The 1,571-piece set features a snowy owl with spread wings perched next to the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry’s suitcase. It’s designed as a display piece, but it’s not just there to stand pretty.
Three built-in wheels control different functions of the set. One wheel turns Hedwig’s head from side to side. Another wheel moves the ruler’s piece on the wizard’s chessboard. The third wheel opens the side of Harry’s trunk, “exploding” it and revealing a hidden micro-scale scene of a mountain troll attack in the bathroom. Each wheel is clearly linked to a specific action, so turning it feels more like activating scenes than just rotating the scenery.
Surrounding the main structure are miniature replicas of key moments from the first film. These include the Hogwarts Express and the five trials Harry faces before reaching the Sorcerer’s Stone. The scene also includes small props, such as a Chocolate Frog card with Albus Dumbledore, the Sorcerer’s Stone itself, and two galleons. Rather than building one large scene, the set acts as a collection of mini-memories.
The set includes three minifigures: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. They can be arranged around the structure to match different scenes.

The set includes support for the LEGO Builder app, where you can use 3D instructions to zoom in and out, rotate the model, and track your progress. When built, it measures over 9.5 inches tall, 11.5 inches wide, and 8.5 inches deep, making it big enough to stand out without taking up shelf space.

Rather than retelling the entire story, this anniversary set highlights a few moments and lets you “activate” them with simple gestures. As you turn the wheels, you can relive scenes you already know by heart, but this time through bricks, gears, and small hidden details.
