LG’s massive “Magnit Active Micro LED” TV will be available in South Korea on October 21st, and in North America at a later date. Prices haven’t been announced, but considering the 118-inch model cost $237,000 in 2023, we expect this new one to cost about the same as a tiny house.

The MAGNIT model incorporates the webOS smart TV platform, popular streaming apps, screen sharing, and AI-enhanced processing. The result is 4K resolution – 3,840 x 2,160 – with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000 to 1, so dark scenes are black holes and bright ones are blasts of clarity.
LG added a custom surface finish to cut glare from room lights, so you get true to life colours whether the sun is blazing through the windows or not. The panels snap together with almost no seams and the whole face is flicker free, so your eyes won’t ache after hours of bingeing.
Sound is reproduced by speakers on both sides, creating a 4.2-channel system with a total of 100 watts of power. Connect it to a sound bar or receiver using the enhanced eARC connection and you can enjoy rich, uncompressed soundtracks that will make the entire room feel like a movie theater with pulsating bass.
The sixth-generation α9 AI chip does a clever job of sharpening and removing noise in every frame. It can isolate people, objects, text and everything else in a scene and adjust it to look just as the director intended.
Then throw in a 144Hz refresh rate and you get super-smooth action in games and sports with no stuttering or smearing what so ever. Dolby Vision takes it up a notch by adding depth with a much wider range of colors and all the subtle details that other TVs tend to muddle.
And with TÜV Rheinland certification to ensure consistent colors from any angle, everyone in the room gets the same view – whether you’re sitting right in the center or off to the side.

It’s worth noting that the TV will be available in limited quantities initially, but you should be able to schedule an installation on LG’s website once it arrives. As for pricing, such large screens don’t come cheap – they’re expected to cost well over six figures.
