762 km of range, 360 kW of power, a spacious interior with a 39.1-inch display, and numerous AI features.
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the first all-electric C-Class, the C400 4Matic, which will join the internal combustion engine lineup in early 2027. The company calls it “the sportiest C-Class ever.”

Car details:
- Dimensions: 4883 mm in length, 1892 mm in width, and 1503 mm in height – with a wheelbase of 2962 mm.
- Two electric motors produce a combined output of 360 kW, equivalent to approximately 483 hp; acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.9 seconds.
- The estimated range is up to 762 km (472 mi) according to the WLTP cycle; the company also promises that 10 minutes of fast charging (330 kW) will restore 325 km (208 mi) of range.
- The body is smoother than its internal combustion engine counterpart, with a drag coefficient of 0.22.

Available at an additional cost are air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and a special damping system that can change settings in advance based on data from navigation maps.

Mercedes paid special attention to the interior of the new C-Class, with details released just days before the car’s unveiling. It’s said to be the most technologically advanced and spacious car in the lineup’s history.

Inside, the C-Class EV gets a full-width 39.1-inch instrument cluster display, a panoramic roof with ambient lighting, a premium audio system with in-seat speakers, and massage and ventilation functions for the front seats.
The system also integrates a voice-activated smart assistant and a range of AI functions, such as AR-enabled navigation and a semi-autonomous driving system with hands-free control, even in heavy city traffic.

The electric C-Class will debut in the US and will later be available in other regions. Pricing details are not yet available, but it is expected to start at $55,000.
