Global creative agency BUCK is partnering with LinkedIn to visually revamp the platform’s app highlights. Described as “a big glow-up” by LinkedIn’s director of product design Audrey Davis, the redesign includes a new suite of animations that hope to make celebrating on LinkedIn a more expressive and engaging experience.

With a focus on engaging character portrayals, creative metaphors that “bridge cultures,” and LinkedIn’s trademark blue color, these new illustrations capture a variety of important events and emotions. From award wins and successful collaborations to chapter endings and new beginnings, there’s now an animation to suit every occasion.

There are 16 animations in total, each combining geometric and organic shapes with vibrant color palettes. In creating these designs, BUCK aimed to create a playful and sophisticated tone that is suitable for both personal and professional celebrations, and the results are a more distinctive set of images than previously seen on the platform.

This project is part of LinkedIn’s ongoing effort to improve the platform’s visual systems as it adapts to user experiences that go beyond job searching. These days, LinkedIn is a place to connect, interact, and share with others, and the new BUCK illustrations can help enhance that interaction.
