On March 8, Bloomberg’s reliable reporter Mark Gurman reported that Apple is preparing a high-end “Ultra” line of devices. Another piece of information the reporter shared concerns the iMac. According to Bloomberg, the iMac will be released in new colors this year.
The design will remain the same – Apple introduced it in 2021. Since then, the company has only changed the color scheme of the all-in-one computer once – in 2024, with the release of the iMac M4. At that time, the computer was released in seven colors: blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow, green, and silver.
The next-generation iMac will feature a different color palette, but Gurman did not provide any details.
The new iMac is expected to be released by the end of 2026 – the all-in-one computer will be based on the Apple M5 processor, which is already used in the MacBook, iPad Pro and Vision Pro, or the M6, which is expected to debut in the second half of the year.
