NVIDIA releases new DLSS 4.5 features to generate even more frames

NVIDIA has released DLSS 4.5 with improvements to frame generation and a new model. It is now available to users of the NVIDIA Beta Program.

First of all, NVIDIA is introducing a new DLSS Frame Generation model that should improve the game interface by using additional data from the game engine. This will improve the quality of the minimap, interface elements, and other details. This feature is available on GeForce RTX 40 and 50 series graphics cards.
The second innovation is DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, an intelligent system that acts as an automatic transmission for the graphics card. It allows you to switch between different frame rates to achieve the ideal balance between frame rate, image quality, and response time.
DLSS 4.5 dynamic multi-frame rendering can be enabled and configured system-wide or individually for each game in the Graphics tab of the NVIDIA app.
The latest innovation is six-frame rendering with DLSS 4.5, a new mode that delivers even higher performance and increases the ratio by up to 6x, rendering five additional frames for every real frame. NVIDIA claims that this new feature increases frame rates in 4K games with path tracing by 35% on GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards.
NVIDIA previously announced DLSS 5, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the quality of graphics and lighting in games. The demos the company provided sparked a lot of controversy online, and users started creating memes using the new technology.
The company’s CEO, Jensen Huang, later responded to the criticism, stating that players were “totally wrong.” Bethesda CEO Todd Howard agreed, calling the feature “amazing.”
