‘Starfield’ is coming to PS5 consoles on April 7th.
The game will feature free flights between planets in star systems and "DualSense" support.
Bethesda has announced the release of Starfield for the PlayStation 5 console and revealed details about ongoing support. The game will be released on the new platform on April 7, 2026, the same day as the major Free Lanes update and Terran Armada story expansion, which will be released on all devices.

The PS5 version will feature the “DualSense” system: adaptive triggers will respond to ship and character weapons, a light bar will display health and hull status, and a speaker will play audio recordings.
The PS5 Pro has a video mode (native 4K resolution at 30 frames per second) and a performance mode (60 frames per second with improved graphics compared to the base console). The standard version will cost $50, while the deluxe version will cost $70.
The free Lanes update focuses on exploration. The game will feature free space flight, a cruise control system that allows you to control your ship while moving, and a new X-Tech resource for upgrades (such as temporary ship invisibility).
They will also add jumping vehicles, mechanical pets, the ability to buy a house on an asteroid, and the ability to transfer items to New Game+.
The Terran Armada add-on, priced at $10, introduces a storyline about a conflict with a faction that uses robots and capital ships. The add-on includes a new satellite, an invasion system, and rapid deployment of outposts.
At the same time, the Trackers Alliance mission line will appear in the paid Creations menu, tasking players with tracking down seven unique targets.
