VidaBay releases electronic ‘Polaroid style’ fridge magnets
You can send any image to the magnet via NFC, but the screen has a very limited color palette.
Their main feature is an E-Ink screen that can display any image stored on your smartphone. However, the color palette is limited, so the image quality won’t be the best.
According to the manufacturer VidaBay, you won’t have to worry about battery life. The magnets work without a battery – they only consume energy when the image on the screen changes, after which the electronic ink “freezes”.
The smartphone’s NFC chip supplies the necessary power during video transmission. Synchronization is carried out via the proprietary VidaBay app.
It’s called the “Classic Plus NFC E-Ink Fridge Magnet.” They’re available in singles or sets of three. Prices are $36 and $100, respectively.
