Xbox CEO hints at Game Pass and Discord collaboration
The subscription service could become even more profitable.
Asha Sharma, head of Xbox, wrote a post on X hinting at a potential collaboration between Game Pass and Discord. While she didn’t elaborate on specific plans, she noted that the companies would team up to make Xbox’s subscription service more flexible.
“For years, Xbox and Discord have partnered to make it easier for players to communicate and play across devices. We’re joining forces again to make Game Pass more flexible for players,” Asha Sharma, CEO of Xbox.
This isn’t the first time the two companies have collaborated. For several years now, they’ve been offering a promotion where activating Game Pass Ultimate gives you a code for a month of Discord Nitro. Perhaps the new partnership will extend this offer to the entire Game Pass membership.
Yesterday, Microsoft lowered the prices of Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC. The company also announced that it would stop adding new Call of Duty titles to the service’s catalog at launch.
