Xbox has unveiled a new logo that brings back its signature green
That spirit has carried us through the past 25 years and is needed to lead us forward.
Xbox has unveiled a new logo that brings back its signature green color, moving away from the all-white minimalist image that has dominated the company recently. This change is in line with a broader branding shift being undertaken by the new Xbox management, positioning the platform more within Microsoft’s gaming strategy.

A new logo has been introduced, almost resembling glass. Sure, it’s simple, but I think it looks very nice and elegant. You don’t always need a very eye-catching logo to grab attention, and it seems like Microsoft has come up with just that here. Although the style and proportions have been kept the same.
With a new Xbox logo and changes to the team, a lot is going on at Microsoft right now, and it all looks extremely positive. Microsoft is booming right now. It recently lowered the prices of Xbox Game Pass for both Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions, and information about the Game Pass Starter tier has also surfaced.
Then, on the Xbox Wire platform, new CEO Asha Sharma and Matt Booty shared a long post discussing everything related to Xbox and its future. They describe in detail how the industry has changed since the Xbox’s launch and what expectations different gamers have.
Basically, we’re going through an intense period in the gaming world, and Microsoft needs to reassess how it will handle it. They reveal that “the model that got [Xbox] here is not going to be the one that will take us forward.”
This ultimately leads them to discuss Microsoft Gaming and how the team will no longer be called that. They say, “To deliver on our master plan, the way we work needs to change. Our best work happens when the entire team moves together. Microsoft Gaming describes our structure, but not our ambitions. So, we’re going back to where we started and changing our team name. We are Xbox.”
