Xiaomi raises prices of ‘Redmi’ devices
The changes will affect the Redmi K90 Pro Max, Turbo 5, and Turbo 5 Max and will come into effect on April 11.
Xiaomi partner and mobile division president Lu Weibing reported on Weibo that the recent price hike for memory has significantly exceeded expectations, with the cost of the same version nearly quadrupling compared to last year.

The 12GB+512GB version increased in price by approximately 1,500 yuan ($217), and the 16GB+1TB version increased in price even more. This has been a significant blow to Redmi, a brand that has always focused on offering the best possible prices.
Xiaomi China Marketing Director Wei Siqi clarified the specific changes that will take effect on April 11, 2026, on her Weibo: the price of the Redmi K90 Pro Max will increase by 200 yuan ($29), and special offers for the Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max will be cancelled.
Both executives emphasized that the company is trying to limit the impact of rising memory prices on the final cost of smartphones.
